A diamond certificate provides an independent evaluation of a diamond’s quality and characteristics. We use internationally recognised institutions, including GIA, HRD and IGI, to ensure transparency and confidence in every selection.
Every diamond tells its own story through four defining characteristics: Cut, Colour, Clarity and Carat Weight. Together, these internationally recognised standards, known as the 4Cs, will help you make a confident and informed choice when selecting the right diamond for you.
Cut Grading
Cut describes how a diamond is crafted to reflect and return light. It is evaluated by the precision of its proportions, symmetry and polish.
Excellent: Exceptional brilliance and sparkle, precisely maximising the reflection of light.
Very Good: Reflects most light with subtle proportion differences, maintaining impressive brilliance.
Good: Reflects the majority of light, with a noticeable yet minimal reduction in brilliance.
Fair: Noticeable light loss, resulting in reduced brilliance and a visibly dimmer appearance.
Poor: Significant light loss, resulting in a dull appearance with limited brilliance.
Colour
Colour refers to the presence of colour within a diamond. Graded from D to Z, the scale measures how colourless a diamond appears, with D representing the highest level of colourlessness and Z indicating a noticeable presence of colour.
Clarity
Clarity measures a diamond’s purity by evaluating its internal inclusions and surface blemishes. The fewer characteristics present, the higher the clarity grade.
Flawless (FL) & Internally Flawless (IF): Extremely rare; no inclusions are visible.
Very Very Slightly Included (VVS1 - VVS2): Inclusions are minuscule and extremely difficult for expert gemologists to spot under 10x magnification.
Very Slightly Included (VS1 - VS2): Inclusions are minor, but typically invisible to the naked eye.
Slightly Included (SI1 - SI2): Inclusions are easily visible under magnification and may be visible to the naked eye.
Included (I1 - I3): Inclusions are obvious under magnification and often visible to the naked eye.
Carat Weight
Carat measures a diamond’s weight, not its size. A diamond’s visual presence can vary across different shapes, even at the same carat weight. True beauty is found in the balance of all four Cs.
